Mitsubishi Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity
Great teams do great work.
In June, over forty volunteers consisting of Mitsubishi team members, family, and friends served with Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization helping families into home ownership.
The volunteers were divided into two groups to support a major vacant house renovation. The first team stripped interior dry wall, insulation, electrical, and plumbing. The second team was tasked with removing glass and debris, trimming trees and bushes, and raking and mowing the yard.
The group worked diligently and exceeded targeted objectives. Habitat representatives commented that the group had almost doubled the planned work scope, accomplishing many tasks planned for the following week.
Bill Ray, one of Mitsubishi’s coordinators stated, “I couldn’t have been more pleased with everyone’s enthusiasm or asked for a stronger work ethic from the team. It was great, at the end of the day, to see the results and recognize what we accomplished”.
